CWO4 S1LAS – Team Leader
Happy new year everyone, new year new you ! 😀
I am Silas XO COMM of OPA and you will find me frequently in the AFK area in MY SPOT.
One of my sob stories is that couple years ago I lost around a million dollars in stocks. Now I reset and making it back. Remember time is money, money is time. If you have the ability to make more money, then losing everything isn’t the end of the world. At the time if I was to withdraw all that money I wouldn’t have used it for anything in particular so I left it in the stocks… little did we know.. BOOM… all gone… from fluctuations of going up 100k and down 200k the next, the world moved very fast at times.
In the real world I am a wedding photographer that does okay. I shoot every weekend and am sorta a household name in Melbourne. If you’re interested in photography let’s have a chat too ! I mentored a couple students and have seen them grow into top 3 in our state … since I took the number 1 spot. Hehe..

MSgt Cloudiii, Assistant Team Leader
Hello everyone,I hope you’re having a brilliant start to 2025!
I am Cloudiii, the A/TL for this month’s project Sherlock, you’ll often see me in HQ grinding SoW.
I joined Habbo back in 2021 after my brother insisted me to, soon after I discovered Habbo USDF and enlisted myself in! Sure at first I was not keen on taking this game seriously and because of that I got dishonorably discharged at the rank of E4😔 now back in 2024 I wrote my first pardon which got denied, I wrote my second,my third,my fourth and FINALLY on the 5th one I got accepted and now here I am.
Be sure to let us know how YOU found Habbo USDF!
In the real world,I live EST+10 so I’m available throughout the day and remember,if you need any help with your tasks, don’t be shy to ping me! I love writing poems and stories, and I’m even looking to publish some! Sports wise,I am a big fan of cricket and am an above average player myself. I love spending time out in the wild or hiking.I love visiting new countries and exploring new traditions so if you have anything special about your country or traditions, be sure to share it with us.

Before we move on to the new year, let’s celebrate what made the last one unique! Here is what our USDF members were listening to this past year while filling positions or idling in the front row.

How many songs did you play this year?
I played 3,094 songs this year! I like replaying a lot of stuff and listening to full albums so it may not be that high of a number.
How has your listening changed from the start of the year?
to Spotify, March was my indieheads slowcore phase. It mentioned “The Antlers” as one of the bands that resulted in this description of my month. For that band, I really recommend the album Hospice.
August was a big month of change for me musically as I found Death Grips – which resulted in Spotify typing that month as Cyberpunk abstract experimental hip-hop. That description sums them up pretty accurately.
How many artists did you listen to?
I listened to 320 artists! Again I like to replay a lot of stuff for nostalgia and listen to my past faves, so I don’t hop around from artist to artist that much.
Who was your top artist?
My top artist was Death grips, which my brother got me hooked on. I was working a pretty fast-paced minimum wage job at the time I first started listening, and it never failed to give me a boost of energy and adrenaline.
What was your biggest listening day and how long did you listen for?
My biggest listening day was May 18, where I listened for 625 minutes. I remember that day specifically because that’s the day me and my family went on a big road trip over multiple states, so I spent the time listening to music in the car!
CMDCM :Jordyn
How many songs did you play this year?
2,267, honestly I expected it to be more, I have music playing a lot haha.
How has your listening changed from the start of the year?
Honestly I’d say overall it stayed pretty consistent, I usually listen to a lot of rap and pop, but I’ll also occasionally find a song in a new genre that I’m like yea I f with that.
How many artists did you listen to?
1,013, I’ll listen to anyone tbh, as long as the vibe is good I’m into it.
Who was your top artist?
Doja cat, her lyrics feel very powerful to me I guess, I don’t know exactly why but I’ve always been drawn to her as an artist.
What was your biggest listening day and how long did you listen for?
November 7th, 1138 minutes. I was off work at the time so that might’ve had something to do with it, I listen to music while I stream so it could’ve been a long stream day.
CMDCM getpunkedpunk
How many songs did you listen to this year?
In 2024, I’ve listened to a total of 996 songs on Spotify.
How has your listening changed from the start of the year?
I was really into Deftones and Slipknot at the beginning of the year and really got into underground hip hop around March. Nearing the end of the year, I listened to a lot of Cloud Rap from artists such as Bladee and Thaiboy Digital up until now.
How many artists did you listen to?
I’ve listened to a total of 605 artists on Spotify
Who was your top artist?
jaydes is my top artist for the year.
What was your biggest listening day and how long did you listen for?
My biggest listening day is on February 9 with a total of 208 minutes. It’s not much, I know, but I can’t listen to music that long, or I’ll get irritated.

A specially curated inspiration book of things USDF members are passionate about and would love to share some inspiration with you!
What fun and productive hobbies are USDF NCOs up to this new year? I met up with OJFD’s finest, WO1 X-RAY12Boss and SFC MetalRuby to ask them what they like to do in their free time, and what they suggest other personnel try out.
WO1 X-RAY12Boss
I would recommend taking 12k steps a day to stay active! Usually when I’m done with work I’m at 8k, then I just make up the other 6k. I usually only run 2 to 3 times a week so walking or just doing anything honestly, like groceries, going to the gym, or just taking a stroll. My phone counts [the steps] for me. Exercise is a good way to build discipline and after 2-4 weeks your body will look better which ups your morale. I think the thing I experienced the most is that I tend to be more productive during the day. As nowadays in my mind I say, “Ooh, that’s another few steps to add.” In the beginning I would sometimes be lazy about completing the last two thousand steps, and my muscles were pretty sore which did not help, but as I got into the routine it became almost like a second nature. Set small goals throughout your first few days or week, something like “this week I want to walk 12k steps at least 3 days of the week,” and take it at your own pace. There is always space to do a little more, and you do not need a gym to stay active!

SFC MetalRuby
Music making! Doesn’t have to be Metal Vocals like me but singing, instruments, song writing, etc! Performing is tons of fun! I get to meet new people and help others escape reality for a bit. Song writing is fun as well as I get to put my heart and soul into it. I have gotten to meet some of the coolest people thanks to it. I even got to perform with some of the coolest people. I started my own band this year and performed at small Local shows. The community is very welcoming to new bands and if I can make it a career I would love to. My favorite experience was getting to perform and seeing some people who told me the passion was a waste enjoy my stuff. Nothing feels better than showing the haters that you are doing what they said you wouldn’t be able to.

Working in production for student theatre is definitely an unusual hobby, and people usually don’t expect it from me. Nevertheless its incredibly fun and I love every moment I spend doing it! I am far from a performer, actor, singer or anything vaguely requiring me to go on stage. Yet I am a massive theatre kid at heart! So where does that leave me? Production, and Stage Management. A lot of people underestimate how much goes on behind the scenes of theatre shows, even smaller scale student productions. Props, costume, set, advertising and programming, rehearsal scheduling, all of that jazz! Someone has to do it, and that’s where you find me.
I first got into theatre production when I helped source some props for a show in my college when I was 16. I then became the Stage Manager of the show the following year, where I was in charge of the backstage crew for the show nights and rehearsals. From there things snowballed and I try take part in 1-2 shows each semester. I’m currently working in pre-production for a student-written play about a cowboy stuck in a groundhog day style time loop; whilst very contrastingly working on a rendition of Hamlet!
I love that it is so different from my studies in mathematics. It feels like a real escape from the obligations I have to the real world, even though these shows can be quite demanding themselves. Also I have met some incredible people through it, and a lot of them are my good friends to this very day. No matter if they are actors, band members, technicians; its always a laugh and we all really enjoy what we do. I am really fortunate to have found a ‘hobby’ that brings me what this does. I love being a part of these teams, and being proud to say I worked on our shows!

Hi im Kath from OPA if you are E4+ and reading this, you look like a great fit for the office as well! One of the hobbies I have is playing Mahjong and heres my story! I basically watched my parents play mahjong as I grew old, they actually never wanted to teach me cause it could be bad/could lead to gambling addiction so understandable! However during my college days, my roommates would play this filipino card game “Tong its”, i really enjoyed it and later on realized that its very similar to Mahjong so I ended up easily learning it as well! Im looking to play this til I get old since its not just luck based but needs strategy to win too, so i really consider it a fun brain exercise and time killer hobby!
I’d like to add that my favorite memory of it is whenever my dad comes home from winning, there’d be ✨ signs ✨— we would have a full seafood course the next day

CWO4 Softbal
Well I played soccer for the majority of my life but I got injured and actually left team sports for what it is. I got more into anime, especially sports anime. Then I stumbled on Ace of the Diamond and it’s an anime that was posted in a weekly sports magazine to get people interested in the sports, it doesn’t only show how to play but also the passion and the importance of teamplay. It really touched me and I decided to sign up. Softball seems the only sports accessible for woman here, it’s also not very common in the Netherlands. But I figured there that I have a very strong arm for throwing and that I am a lefty batter, which is also a rarity. And so I began to play!

WO/SEL cybrmanta
To be honest, I had always wanted to try ballet. I was already pursuing gymnastics for several years and I loved to dance in my free time. When I had to quit gymnastics due to some back problems, I decided to give ballet – a secret interest that I had for years – a try. That’s how I found out that not only dancing something that I truly love, but also the whole art behind traditional ballet.
